30 seconds in a day

On Wednesday I designed and animated a 30 second spot for use in O2 stores to promote The Telegraph's iPad app. 30 seconds in a day. It nearly killed me.

The only way I could do this was by reusing some assets and general creative direction I ma for something else I did a couple of weeks ago. The client was more than happy with this, in fact they kind of requested it should look like the other job.

Usually I hate doing this, I fight and whine and persuade that fresh, new and bespoke is always best, as I'm sure we all do. In this case however, I could either reuse, or stay there all night doing something 'new' and risk not getting it signed off.

I guess I'm posting this to see if anyone else has been in a similar situation and put their morals and principles aside to get something out of the door in time. And also, should I keep both jobs on the showreel? Surely I should pick one otherwise, without this long explanation, people will think I'm lazy and reuse my own work.

Oh, and this is it: https://vimeo.com/62852143
