You could always use CSS to define a nice font and assign that class to the link. Other than that AndySmiff has already provided the best answer. Good luck with the HTML.
It really comes down to who the site will be marketing to. Consumer targeted sites often use light sites with clear, darker text and specialist industries will often use darker sites as in the design world, rich blacks often mean "stylish".

The first design concept had far greater appeal. However as some of the guys have pointed out, it does look lie a sailors wheel, the K part is really good, however its the shape of the pointers around the clock part that don't fit, try adapting the points around the clock face. Look forward to...
