By all means go for it, but you really have to go for it!
I don't know how old you are but you'd probably be working under people younger than you as well for a fair few years. That's something to consider too.
It's not what you know, but who you know... Knowing someone can help a lot too...
Erm, stick to your job!
It's extremely hard to get anywhere, even an unpaid placement. Plus even as an intern you'll be expected to have a wide range of program knowledge. You have people in their late teens who know all the programs and will design for fun.
They're important factors, I mean...
The first post sounds like a questionnaire?
It's very hard and very competitive tbh.
You'll need a high level of program knowledge and a strong portfolio to stand a chance.
Luck can also play it's part, it's who you know.

The latest example of this is a guy creating his own business and doesn't like the logos that the company designing his website have come up with.
So what does he do?
Go on a...

By that I mean if someone can help me code/develop my site in exchange for me doing them design work.
A bit of a long shot perhaps but I thought I'd put it out there.
I am wondering which is the best way to go. I had someone helping me with my site who suggested using Wordpress and helped me install it and my site is now a WP site.
Unfortunately that person has now pretty much disappeared leaving me in some sort of website limbo and I'm unsure of what to do...
