Hi
I need an A4 colour printer (inkjet) for my home studio. It's mainly for checking layouts/font sizes in print. Speed of printing is more important to me than colour accuracy/photo quality (although those would obviously be an added bonus). I need one that is Mac compatible and preferably...
Hi
I need to get an A4 colour printer for my home studio. It's mainly for checking layouts/font sizes in print. Colour accuracy isn't too important (although obviously would be an added bonus). I'd like one that prints fairly quickly though. I need one that is Mac compatible and preferably not...
I think with logo design, it's almost a case of finding out what a clients budget is, then working out what you can produce within that budget. Obviously some people don't like to tell you their budget, or just don't have a clue what it should be. Once I have an idea of the brief, I normally...
I'd say 5-8 hours. 5 for a fairly simple design where there's not a huge amount of content, 8 for a more indepth design (custom icons/photoshop work on images etc)
Your original design was miles better than the rip off. I don't know what kind of satisfaction someone would get from doing such a blatant copy – they obviously have no shame!
I agree with everything Krey20 said. Have a positive attitude and don't just sit in the corner silently, freelancing isn't exclusively about ability (although that's obviously very important), it's also about being part of the team and good company in the studio.
Well, I bit the bullet and sent out an email to my clients regarding this last week. Almost all of them have replied to say thanks for the update + it's no problem
I don't know what sort of price is acceptable for an agency... maybe around the £25-30 an hour? Just a guess though!
I find the best way to get into agencies is to go on Google or Yell and search for the type of companies you want to work for (ie design agencies), in the area you want to work...
I only skimmed through the replies so not sure if anyone else mentioned this!
Lots of design agencies use freelancers when they are really busy, so this is another option you could consider. You can still get your own work direct from your own clients as well if you wish, but working within...
Thanks guru24! I've been sweating about this all weekend, changing my mind about whether to do it and by how much, but everything you've said I agree with. I think it's time to bite the bullet now.
I think I would. I can't see how this would go against you and a designer who proof-reads is obviously something they are lacking at the moment! As long as you're tactful I think it would make you look good that you've noticed.
