Anyone familiar with Astute graphics? They've recently released a new version of their Colliderscribe plugin that has a function called "space fill". Looks like it'd help make this kind of effect a lot quicker. Basically you select a group of objects and a shape to mask them to, hit the button...

I used to use bootstrap but have recently moved over to foundation. It seems a lot easier to build a complex layout using the foundation components. Also, hello from just down the road:)

Also, I've heard that it's quite similar to Freehand in a lot of respects. I can't really comment, I only used FH5, none of the later versions.

I had a play with the beta version of Affinity Designer over the last 6 weeks or so and found it to be a really good bit of kit. It's got some great features and could very well be the competition that Adobe needs. As I understand it they've also got a Photoshop competitor due in beta soon and...

Could be, I think it is on my Behance gallery. It's been on a few illustration sites recently, Little Chimp Society, Hire An Illustrator, etc. as I've been doing a giveaway thing on Twitter, giving out 3 copies of the print for R/T's.

Some of them look like they could have been done generatively, Processing, Nodebox or ActionScript or somesuch. I think it's Nodebox that allows you to output your code as PDF's that you can then take into Illustrator with all the layers intact. I've tried to have a go before but it's a bit...

A timely thread this as i'm looking to get some more freelance illustration as well. I've been meaning to look at agencies for a while but never really got round to it, the time is right to build up some confidence and get some work out there.

Which bugs do you mean? I've never had any trouble with it, Snow Leopard didn't really look worth the upgrade:)
