    Choosing Social Media

Hey Scotty, when you say you use Behance a lot (forgive me if it's a daft question), how do you 'use' it? Do you just upload projects, appreciate other people's, follow people and comment? Or is there something else you can do?

Networking group: BNI - worth the fee?

I don't like it myself but I have seen it work very well for one particular website designer. She runs her own design agency, about 4/5 employees and they design mainly simple show and tell sites, but a lot of them. She got a lot of referrals via BNI. But like Bonsdes, I personally found it all...

Logo designers: what do you think of the ARMM method?

Having discussed it briefly with Scotty there, I don't think it replaces anything. Instead, there are a few good aspects to the methodology, but it shouldn't be read as gospel. One of the reasons I went into graphic design in the first place was because every project is so different. It's...

Logo designers: what do you think of the ARMM method?

No problem. I have quite a few social media accounts with the same profile pic including dribbble, behance, twitter, google+ etc. probably from one of them? I write my own blog on my website and this idiotic annoying smile beams out at you from the sidebar of those posts too.

Logo designers: what do you think of the ARMM method?

Yep. Agreed. I think that's what made me a little uncomfortable about it - the fact that he's suggesting there's a tried and tested method. But it's far too complex for one method to apply to all logo design projects.

    Logo advice

Logo designers: what do you think of the ARMM method?

Good to hear you say that because neither had I. You can see an intro video here: https://www.lynda.com/Logo-Design-tutorials/ARMM-model/149123/171685-4.html I haven't signed up to see the full video, but the basic principles are outlined in the intro. Just curious to get another designer's...

Logo designers: what do you think of the ARMM method?

I've recently come across the ARMM method for logo design. A lot of it seems to make good design sense, although I'm not convinced by a couple of details. I still think it's important that a logo should be able to work in black and white for example. What do other designers think of it?
