Thanks for all your help, I'm still not getting what I need though through indeisgn.
So just to be clear, I've got:
Excel Sheet with:
Questions
Q1
Q2
Q3
Q4
Q5
Q6
Q7
Q8
Q9
Q10
etc.
and Indeisgn file with the layout:
<<Questions>>
<<Questions>>
<<Questions>>
<<Questions>>
<<Questions>>
Which...
Ah okay, so I figured out the separate pages thing but I still can't get it to do 5 different questions per card. It's giving me the 1st question 5 times on the 1st card, the 2nd question 5 times on the next card and so on. I tried the multiple data options when merging but it didn't make any...
Hi hankscorpio, thanks for the link! I couldn't find parts 2 or 3, kept running into pages I'd already read or 404 errors.
Unfortunately I still have the same issue of needing each card to be it's own page. As far as I can see, Data Merge would only allow me to have 1 page with all the cards...
Hi all,
So I have an excel doc with hundreds of trivia questions and answers.
I then have an indesign doc, where I have set up 400 or so pages, even numbers are question cards, with space for 5 questions on each card, odd numbers are answer cards with space for the 5 corresponding answers...
Hi all,
I've taken this project on in my spare time, and both parties are extremely busy, so it's been quite slow and I could do with some feedback from the design community, to either keep me going or refresh my efforts. We all know how it is when you've been looking at the same project for...
So the hard drive on my late 2009 21.5" imac has died; I've decided to upgrade to a newer model, but I don't know what to do with the old one. I thought I could use it as a second screen but bought a cable for it and apparently this model is only compatible for using as a 2nd screen if it's the...
Could you give us more information on what the posters are for, the brief you worked to etc?
Initial impressions, not sure about the colours on the first one, it's a bit in your face, but then it is for a toy... It does just feel a bit basic. Main issue is the font though, I would consider a...
It's a great start! I wouldn't necessarily say it doesn't look professional. Could you give us more info on the company, your process to get to where you are with the logo, what your initial ideas were and what you set out to do?
Are you actually printing on this or are you sending it to a printer? I would say your printer should be the first point of call for paper sourcing; they will already have suppliers or various paper types and a much better idea of where to get what you need.
This is a pretty impossible and open ended question without even a photograph of what it is that you've seen.
I would suggest visiting some paper/stationary/craft shops and looking at what they have available. Alternatively contact some local print places.
Did you touch this "paper" at all...
That looks very much like a printer/rip/profile issue to me. I work at a printing place and I would say that over-all the colour looks fine; but as you say the shadow areas are certainly not right.
Is this just a photograph or have you applied anything else to it? I can't whole heartedly...
Hi PriyeshDesign,
Thanks for your feedback. Yep the first image was the one I've worked on and developed most. Ah yes, the logo is there twice because the client didn't send me any origination, I started designing with screen shots of stuff I took from their various online presences. When I...
Hi Matthew,
They look great! I love illustration and always think I should have gone down that route, but I was always interested in so many different things, and illusration is fairly time consuming so it got left behind =(
You've captured the "postcard" feel really well, but it's fresh and...
