How long is too long to wait for a job to be signed off?

So I started an 80 page report for a client in February 2019. Just before christmas they did some changes which I thought would be the last and was hoping for a sign-off before the new year. Well it's now the end of January 2020, no sign off. What should I do at this point? Should I put in an invoice for the work done so far or just wait it out?

I'd just send them an informal e-mail asking where they're at with the report as you'd like to invoice.

Honestly I wouldn't have let it get this far but you can try the above..... in all honesty though depending on the type of report and how it was sent they may have used it already and are just not intending to pay you.

If that's the case then issue them an invoice and try calling them, or calling into them to have a meeting.

If they won't pay then gather up the documents/emails where it was agreed for payments/work etc. and you can take them to the small claims court.

Yeah I always do a quick search online to see if one of the low resolution pdfs has been uploaded! I don't think they have this time. I've sent a an email reminder. Should I just send an invoice anyway?
