Latest cc Photoshop was so slow I’ve had to install the one before, works perfectly now.Anyone else had any problems?.

The whole entire suite is going backwards in terms of UI. I hate the new dialog box it's a load of crap. I always set to "legacy" - it's all driven to push you to adobe stock, templates, and puke.

I really think Adobe are losing their focus, pushing the software towards amateurs instead of professionals.

Acrobat DC opening and closing comments is a joke, takes about 30 seconds.

Adobe, alas, I think they are going to break the camels back.

I've been sincerely looking into Affinity, they're stuff looks amazing!

Couldn't agree more. Everything feels so fiddly and slow, and the 'My Library' feature has caused more hassle than it's worth with regards to having to share files. It's also kind of ironic that they're releasing XD when their own UX and UI gets worse every version.

I'd never considered this point, perhaps they're trying to appeal more to the amateurs that just pirate their software? It wouldn't surprise me if pirate users far outweighed the legitimate users, especially pre-CC.

It certainly feels to me like they're trying/struggling to retain a monopoly on design software whilst the way we design and the platforms we use are changing around them. Look at Adobe Dreamweaver, I can't name a single developer I know that uses. They prefer to use something like Visual Studio Code, Coda, or Sublime Text for writing code and use other tools (such as command line tools) to support their workflow.

They're trying to catch up to specialised software that does one thing very well. I know a lot of smaller studios now exclusively use Sketch for web and UI work because that's exactly what it was designed and built to do. Adobe release updates to their software that imitate a lot of functionality these tools use to try and give everyone everything.

My thoughts on Affinity should be pretty well known around these parts, so no comment there. ;)

I've looked at Affinity a few years back but my work load stopped me from going into it in detail. Im in so deep with Adobe I think it might be difficult to get out.

You've got me all fired up , I think Ill download the demo again if available and see what what.

I'm finding Photoshop a bit slow too, specially with brushes and eraser etc. I'm still on El Capitan,
should this make a difference?

Time to take a look at Affinity I think, just worried how long it will take to get used to it.

Im using 19.1.0 at the mo and its great, nice and nippy , I dont think Ill go back up till the next update. Its was taking 5 seconds between each command. Totally destroys your work flow.

Mine's not that bad, just a second or so sometimes. I'm still on last year's so I'll leave it a bit I think.

I haven't used Affinity Photo, but Affinity Designer has a pretty intuitive layout. There's not as much functionality as Adobe products, but it does mean the tool you need aren't buried inside multiple menus.
