Software for joining polygons together easily

Hello everyone.

I come here merely looking for some help.

Basically, for a project at my university, I need to be able to stick a bunch of polygons together in a special mathsy way. Basically they're pentagons, triangles, rhombuses (all the same sizes but rotated differently). I'm rubbish at all art and design so I only have experience with MS paint, which is useless for this sort of thing. So any help would be very much appreciated (note also a "copy polygon" function would be good, and the "rotation" has to be in precise amounts like 23 degree, not just 90 and 180)

Thanks!

Take a look at a trial of Illustrator

You can get a trial for a month.

If you can't do that there's an open source variant called InkScape.

Loads of tuts online.

Good luck.

any idea how to draw polygons that aren't stars or regular?

Basically I want shapes that all have the same length lines in them, but the interior angles may be different
