Portfolio Copy write disclaimer

Quick legal question ...
I'm setting up a portfolio of work examples ... stuff I've produced while employed by various companies to show to potential new employers

I want to make sure the previous employers know I'm NOT trying to claim copy write as my own ...
Will a simple (c) line stating "All copy write & ownership of the shown work, belongs to the company employing me at the time." suffice ???

Or do I need something a bit more specific to each individual company concerned ???

You don’t need to add a copyright (c) line for past employer work since copyright for work you did as an employee typically belongs to the employer by default. However, adding a general disclaimer like ‘All work shown is copyrighted by respective employers’ could emphasise that you’re not claiming ownership.

If you wanted to you could seek permission from previous employers before including work in your portfolio, especially if it involves sensitive or proprietary material.
But generally it's not necessary.

If it’s your own work or freelance work, you can add a copyright notice if you want, but copyright is yours from creation, even without a (c).
