I work for a company which is basically a software based. Our manager just told us to find or create an idea for a logo for one of our new started business. The business is about making drones and selling them at a reasonable price. So should I put a simple drone picture on the logo or I keep it simple and neat ?. Please help me out.

Hire a designer who understands branding, communication, target audiences, etc, etc. If you want this project to succeed, you need to get your communication right.

A logo is only part of a coherent brand approach and should be considered as such. One thing it is definitely not, is pretty adornment; an afterthought; a box to be ticked. ‘We need a logo, let’s get one done.’ It should be an intrinsic and fundamental part of your whole marketing and branding strategy.

Most of the emotional responses your target audience will have happen way before they ever get their hands on a product. You need to make sure that people are making the correct assumptions and having the right responses, about your product, otherwise it will simply fall out of the sky.

Every bit of word that you have said it correct. Our company by the way follows a way I do not now how much effective that is. They told every employee to make one logo and the one who would got selected would be promoted. I do not even know they would use the winning logo or not. We did not know about that and every one tried their best.

Post your ideas and we can critique them - but we can't give you ideas or give you examples of logos.

If you like you can hire a designer by posting an advert in the forum - http://www.graphicdesignforums.co.uk/forums/tenders-services-required-forum.12/
Yes I have done that before but the responses were not good. For example if I post one logo idea now there would be a lot of people to point the flaws in it but no one will come and suggest something. So I do not want to waste any of my time for that. That is why I have directly asked for help rather then facing critics.

Nobody here is going to do it for you. If you can't do it yourself then pay one of us to do it for you. We are professional designers.

Well...we're not going to say it's good if it isn't good are we... we're professional designers, not your parents.

If you want direct help or someone to do it for you you need to pay for it, simple as that really... you have plenty of people on this forum who do it for a living (ie we do it to pay the bills) and will be happy to quote for the work to be done.
