illustrative logo thoughts!

I recently developed a new logo/watermark to use on pieces im planning to make in the near time - heres the original logo .. New Logo/Watermark by After-Taste on deviantART - I then thought I should make a illustrative version using cinema 4d & photoshop here it is New Logo Render by After-Taste on deviantART , whats your thoughts? - Sam

The second one is pretty illegible. It's quite dark and it's hard to make out the shape with the extra elements behind it.

ah okay ! - thanks - i was aiming for a dark scene , just so you can you make out whats behind it (the rocks and transparent copy) - and leave the rest down to the colours.

I like the abstract shape you have, I would agree with it being the second image is slightly darker than what it should be. If you want it to be dark I suggest having an outer glow effect around the shape so you can distinguish what and where the shape is in the image. Hope this helps!
