I want to make a background like this in Photoshop CS6 (the reddy black part, not all the YouTube subscribe stuff) Screenshot by Lightshot. I have an ice background here: Screenshot by Lightshot and I just need to add the red and black colours. I cant do an overlay because it wont look as good, the amount of black on some sides are different and a gradient overlay wont achieve this. Thanks to anyone who helps.

Add a gradient map adjustment layer, make the colours red and black, then on that layer add a black inner glow. Ensure the blending mode is set to 'Normal' and the opacity is at 100%, and play around with the size, spread and range to get something similar to the example you posted. Then just make your YouTube or whatever background black and the background should fade out at the edges.
This isn't the best way to do it, but it's probably the easiest.
