Free Stock Sites

I've been asked if I know if any free stock photography websites and honestly it's stumped me a bit.

We have a paid Shutterstock account where I work, so I just always use that on the rare occasion that I need a stock/placeholder photo. I've become used to using that, so when I was asked I drew a bit of a blank.

Anybody know of any legitimate sites that offer an archive of free general usage images?

Free, the image quality is not rich, over the years I have created myself an account at getallstock.com, it is not free but the price is very cheap and I use it to download premium photos for my project. me from shutterstock, alamy, stockadobe, istockphoto .. and also HD video. A fun experience instead of looking for free photos.
