Flat Design

I see it as a bit of a trend/fad. It's getting really hard to get excited about designs now because every site/app is starting to look the same. I understand the reasons/theory behind a flat design, but I don't think it's worth dropping elements with a bit of visual depth just yet.
 
It's nothing new, just the design 'style' cycle that came around again. We will soon seen this style lose it's trend and then come back again in years to come. I do like it though.
