Just wondering if anyone knows is it possible to display a video on my website in any dimensions? ie. really small, are there any constraints with regards to the shape or size? Is youtube the best place to host the video then embed it in the page?

YouTube or Vimeo would be fine mate. You can adjust the dimensions (proportionally of course) in the embed code you get.

Agree on the look side of things, Vimeo is much more nicely 'skinned'... but then Google own YouTube so I guess it depends what you want out of it.
