Well that was like....4 years ago!? I am nearly 40 ya know! LOL There's nothing more sad than an ancient goth!
 
Back to the design.... (sorry folks, I'm not out to spoil your fun), I am in agreement that the blue doesn't work. I think you need to put your foot down, cyber goths LOVE that ;p

I guess pink could be used, but very very minimally, this website for an alternative magazine I sometimes get might give you some ideas:

As for the photography, well, it's pretty poor, is this the standard of the photography that you will be working with?
