Coat of Arms V Logo

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a legal difference between a "Coat of Arms" and a logo.

Have recently produced a logo for a customer to look like a coat of arms but have since found out that it can cost as much as £40,000 to register a coat of arms. Would this logo HAVE to be registered or could the customer continue to use the logo without registering?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can have whatever logo you like. If its original and you made it then go ahead.

If you want it recognised as a Coat of Arms you need to register it.

If you don't then don't.
