Canvas Printing With A Canon ImagePrograf ipf710

Hi Everyone.

I have a Canon ipf710. I am trying to print posters on canvas but I'm finding the dark colours are coming out too light. What should be areas of jet black are coming out brown.
I have tried printing with the glossy photo paper setting, the matte photo paper & also the special 1 setting(all set to the highest quality setting)
Does anyone know the correct settings for printing on 280gsm canvas before I waste too much canvas with trial & error!

I'd imagine you need the correct ICC printer profile for the paper brand you are printing on as a first step.

Are you printing from an application directly?
