Autistic Designer seeks artworking role

Hi.

52 year old Graphic Designer here. 25 yr long career - thus far.

Diagnosed with autism a few years ago. I guess I'm what you'd call "high functioning" because it's never been an issue with work, nobody in the workplace has ever been able to tell, to the best of my knowledge.

I've been on the same freelancing gig for eight years. The past four from my home studio. I'm only able to work remotely these days. It's never impacted my work.

The company I work for are a large online food and drink magazine. As we all know, hospitality has taken a real battering since Covid, and they've recently had to cut my hours by half, while wishing to keep me involved with the brand. Obviously I can't survive financially, going from full-time to part-time hours, so I've now found myself looking for extra work again.

I'm a bit rusty with the old job search lark, having been fairly settled into a routine for eight years. Who are the major players in creative recruitment these days? Also if anyone has any links or contacts to recruiters who recruit for neurodiverse people, or those with disabilities, that would be helpful.

My career had mainly been in print until this last gig, where I've been doing basic web stuff. Banners, setting up emails, maintaining the website through a complex CMS system.

I've done a lot of illustration work over the years too.

Because I understand any Graphic Design roles would likely involve more "in-person" contact than I'm capable of, working remotely, I'll be putting myself forward as an artworker.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.

Mike.
