Advice for getting Junior Role

Good evening,

I have recently graduated Uni in Graphic Design and I'm feeling a little bit lost on my next steps. My end goal would be a Junior Graphic Design role at a company that deals with publishing. I understand that getting internships are very helpful to getting these jobs. Are they essential? I was wondering if people who have gone down this path before could shed some light on the steps taken to get a foot in the door.

I literally printed 50 CVs - 50 individual cover letters personalised - 50 hand written envelopes
Got a list of printing companies in my area - and posted my CV, Cover Letter, and Portfolio to 50 companies

I got more than 25 replies for interviews.

Take some initiative, post, email, call, visit them in person.

Go for it - you can do it.
