Adobe cc installed with downloaded version

Hi all,

I have a 2011 Macbook which came with a version of Adobe CC installed. I have never updated it or paid a subscription for it. A couple of the apps won't open or have a few issues. I was wondering what would happen if I downloaded the free trial of Adobe cc. Would I lose access to my original apps once it ends? Would it update the apps and then I could continue using them as before? If I just installed one of the apps, would that affect the rest? I have no idea here, but don't want to lose what I have already. Any help is appreciated.

Apps were prebought for Adobe before the Adobe Creative Cloud - up to CS6.
Your apps are standalone and once you don't uninstall them it's fine.

Adobe CC apps probably won't run as they won't be compatible.

Creative Cloud desktop app
The Creative Cloud desktop app has the following requirements:
  • Microsoft® Windows 7 (64-bit only) and later
  • Mac OS X v10.12 and later
  • Internet connection

Hi Theuglyone,
The apps you have already installed won't be affected if you download the free trial of Adobe CC (Creative Cloud). It is only when you uninstall them. Make sure before downloading that you fulfill the other requirements as
  • Powerful Internet Connection
  • Window 7 (64-bit must), Window 10 even better
  • Mac OS v10.12 and later
