I recently volunteered to help build a website for my friends book. He has a mockup for the website and it uses an image which is done in antique white and blue for the most part as the predominant colors. This to me doesn't follow any achromatic or analogous; etc. color scheme. The image is done equally in both colors, and the original mockup is done in antique white and gray on the background with the image in the foreground. Does anyone think there could be a better color for the background? I am only just learning about color theory and I don't want to butcher this guys website but I also don't think the people he contracted to do this mockup will want me taking their design, so I have to work with something else. Any ideas? I'd love to post the image to the web btw, and I realize I'm making it hard for you to picture in your head by not, but I don't have the author's permission.
