3D Strokes on 3D Text

Hi There... I'v been trying for ages to figure out how to make 3D strokes on 3D text like in the logo designs below... Is there a software that's best for this or is it a simple function in photoshop's 3D design? Please help because it's bugging me now!

Errrrr type your text, outline it, offet path, select the offset part and unite it and send to back. (You'll also have to play with colours at this point). Select both, group. Use 3D Extrude & Bevel. Expand, ungroup as many times as necessary. Sort your colours out. Add ligt effects as required.
