Hi all,

My name is Ryan. I'm a 16-year-old freelance graphic designer, entrepreneur & student. I've been freelancing professionally now for two years & during that time I've been able to connect with so many amazing clients worldwide! I have also been fortunate enough to attend three internships at different design agencies in Melbourne, Australia. On top of that, I've reached out to other agencies & have had 'get to know you' meetings with some of them.

I currently don't advertise my age online as I feel potential clients will expect a lower quality of work & at a cheaper price. I currently charge out at $45 per hour & do things in a professional manner. :)

My question is to all of you: Do you think I should use my age as an advantage?

I feel I could use it as a positive marketing strategy, however, I don't want to limit my client work as that's how I grow my experience & talent.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Your age has nothing to do with it - when applying for jobs you wouldn't put your age or date of birth on the CV - so why do it online.

As long as your work is good quality and as spec'd by the client - and they're happy and you're happy - then the internet doesn't need to know your age.

Just as @scotty mentions, I'm afraid that people will judge you on that basis. So I don't think that you have to advertise your age. Apart from this, do you have your own website or how do you reach to your clients?
