Need your opinion on my first professional website

A basic wordpress theme with elementor. In other words, nothing differet to a zillion other sites. Scores 49/100 on the Google tests - which is better than some but still way below expectations.

The UX on a phone is dire and not much better on an tablet or desktop.

The content is meaningless waffle, the images all stock and there are no calls to action anywhere. No contact info in the footer. No legal or privacy notices.

And even after reading all the blurb I'm still not clear what it is they do.

Sorry to be so negative, but you seem to have focused on the layout and not the needs of a potential client. Just getting rid of all the pointless animations would be a good start. Second thing to do is bin elementor. Third thing to do is find out what their marketing plan is. Only then can you begin to map out the site structure and build the fiureframes

The very last thing to do in the project is add the theme. And if you used blocks instead of a page builder you could switch themes.

For UX improvement read some good blogs. Try to read them thoroughly. I'm sure it'll help you as you're a newcomer. You're at early the stage of your career as you've mentioned that it's your first job. Don't get disheartened with some negative reviews, try to improve as much as you can.

I removed your link - we don't allow shortened links - and if you must link to your own site then that's fine - but it's not allowed either to be hidden in text.
I removed the link.

I added your site to your signature instead, which is allowed.

Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. However, it's kind of unpleasant to hear that my first serious project is dire. I understand that I don't know a lot yet but that's why I'm here.

I think the problem is you have focused too much on the layout - what you would call the design.

The first task should be to discuss their marketing strategy. For example if they plan to use an email campaign then any visitors to the site will be warm leads and already know what the company offers. It follows therefore the landing page enhance the email message leading to a clear call to action (which could be different on each page). You may need multiple landing pages during market testing.

Don't use elementor. In fact build the whole site using the most boring theme you can find. That way you can really concentrate in the page structures, information flows, trustmarks, calls to action and so on. Once you have everything working and linking correctly you can then think about the theme.

I've been working on a concept of 'one version of the truth and one path to the truth'. This means nothing gets duplicated and there are clear pathways to every part of the site. This could mean for example a page about the accommodation is the only place the information exists on the site. But you have links to this page from all relevant source pages.

The last thing for now, make sure the site works really well on a phone. In fact do ALL your testing on a phone - don't even look at the site on a desktop. This way you will get a much better UX.

I could witter on about this for hours but that will just bore the pants off everyone.

Hi Anna,

First you are welcome to this forum, I appreciate your confidence that you shared your first project here. Though it is having some flaws but your wish is to seek guidance here to improve your project.

For accomplishing any task, always remember your client's requirements, the target audience, the market trends. Keeping all in mind apply your best skills to produce a competitive entity.

Hi, it's my first job in an agency as a UX/UI designer. I created sites before but this is my first real case for a startup Bridge https://bridgeteams.com/. What do you think?
I don't know if you ave made any improvements since posting your site back in August. However I clicked on your site and know exactly what you do, it seems clear to me.
From a quick scan, I think it does the job, looks good
