    Stock photo subscriptions

Read the fine print when you set up a subscription, I've heard of agencies buying images for a particular client and then using them in other projects for different clients. They ended up getting a £5,000 fine, it was something to do with them only being licensed for one project.

    Designing a logo

You could try out Inkscape. Draw Freely., its a free vector program. I've never tried it myself but the benefits of creating a vector logo rather than in bitmap one is huge, I've done some large format work and trying to use a pixel logo on a huge banner can create problems.

Advice on clients changing your logo?

Try not to take it personally, it should make you realise that you have a proper eye for design. Clients can ask for some weird stuff, its unfortunate you didn't have any say in the changes he made.

How would I do this? (Logo)

Yes, live trace and then maybe simplify to clean up extra points. That should make it easier to edit. Alternatively redo it completely, use the envelope distort to get the warped text effect.

Reklame and code look really good, I'm installing them just now. Thanks for these, should add some excitement to my new web designs.

Feedback on my flyer design :)

I'd agree about the typography, try and limit yourself to 3 max for now. The funky love font doesn't really work so I'd give that a miss. The graphics look professional though. Most club flyers have photos of really hot girls that you never actually see in the club so its good to steer clear of...

    Canvas Print Artwork

Canvas print colours often end up looking duller than you might expect, its the nature of the material. Its worth considering a large gloss print in a frame. It may be more expensive but if you want to showcase colour quality, canvas might not be the best approach.

    Guidelines

I've been supplied with 80 page brand guidelines for large corporate companies. They cover everything from logo use, stock photography guidelines, web, powerpoint and print. It all depends on you clients needs, including advice on different printing methods (RGB, CMYK) can be useful.

    Spot UV that moves?

Very few printers do spot UV inhouse which may be why they don't guarantee perfect positioning. Its safer to design with this in mind, and cheaper by the sound of it. Use spot UV as a design element in its own right so you don't have to worry about any shift.

Please critique my portfolio of work

I think the brochures are the strongest work here. The typography and colours balance really well. I'm not too keen on the magazine layout but its good to have a range of work, a lot of peoples portfolios are just a variation on one theme.

    First responsive website

It look good to me, big corporate clients tend not to give much room for creativity so I think you've done a good job. Slick but flexible.

Client Feedback and How to Manage it

All I would say is never do a change to a design in front of the client, take a note of the changes they want and send them an updated version. If you start making live changes with a client at your desk they go power crazy, kid in a sweet shop episode. They will sometimes say "just move that...

    Portfolio Opinions

Really great, clean designs. Are these for real clients? Have you thought of trying some grungy, messier work. You might enjoy playing around with some textures or vector splatters with the next job you work on.
