do you have the install disks? step one is to reinstall software. either that or jump to an apple store. they can determine it's hardware or software in about 90 seconds flat. if you wanted to run a hardware test by yourself, reboot your mac and hold 'd' when the screen goes black until...

@ Squiddy: i agree with you guys, i just think we should leave it as soon as the OP says 'i won't be commenting anymore'. after that it's totally unproductive. doesnt get anyone anywhere, and if anything the OP will only post something else *more* annoyed, which will end with another response...
