It's just me then, but I prefer the original. The new one is very sexy, but I think the original logo works better for comics, its all about the action and movement of it. New logo is a bit sterile for me.

Or create an oval using layer masks, then gaussian blur the mask to adjust how soft you want the effect to be. This way you don't lose the original layer.

Just had a look at the site, at the moment there is a scripty type font with an animated background glow. Bit fussy and it contrasts too much with the HOME text below it. I'd stick with the sans serif style font. Also the text below HOME would look better justified to the left and with no...
