Glad I stumbled on this topic, like Scotty I am just going down the route of Behance or finding a good Wordpress theme and some hosting.
What did you go for in the end Scotty?
Hi all.
I have wandered back into the forum today after some time off - so hello!
I am weighing up my options going forward career wise and I think my lack of website art-working skills is holding me back as far as getting work.
I have spent may years successfully creating Artwork, Design...
Folks, Im just in the process of giving my little enterprise a 'push' promotion wise.
Most of my work has come from recommendations or word of mouth.
Im now doing Social Media with more commitment, but what have you found engaged customers and built relationships? (apart from really good...
Great advice guys, I too am about to register as a sole trader and go Independent. The 'cash flow buffer' is top of my priorities, after a bit of marketing.
I tend to work in RGB all the while now, then convert the pictures ICC profile / colourspace for the device I know its being printed on just before sending the file to print.
Or if I have confidence in the printer, let them do the RGB to CMYK conversion on their Pre Press side.
As above I would like a recommendation for a printer and costs on the above.
I normally source digital print but this run length is just slightly over what my printer is costing comfortably.
Would any GDF print members be able to help?
many thanks
T
I had this yesterday!
'can you just edit that now and resend it' (ignoring the fact that I am no where near the Mac and have already told the customer that I won't be back in front of it for 6 hours)
As CLHB says it will be interesting to see the new colourways on the iPhone, my iPhone 4 too is well used and abused so could do with an upgrade!
It will be interesting to see what the UK pricing is on the new iPhones.
A little update - Im trying Fontcase from the Mac app store. It seems like a good way of managing the macs fonts.
The only downside is that it doesnt have plugins for auto activation in Creative Suite but this really is a minor niggle
