    rock city logo designs

Personally I don't think a serif font fits with the 'clean' aspect of your brief. Serif fonts can be clean of course, but to me at least, diamonds suggest sharpness and clarity which the font you've chosen isn't getting across. Maybe a thin sans serif would work better. And as others have...

    Printed names tags on fabric

There are surely tons of embroidery places out there that can stitch any logo without font restrictions. I've used Capital Embroidery in the past and there certainly were never any font restrictions. An illustrator file was all they needed to work from. Admittedly this was for logos on tshirts...

    Brochure overkill?

It's only 8 pages, 170gsm will be just fine, in fact i reckon 135gsm would be far too light for something with so little bulk. Not overkill at all.

    Indesign Magazine

Really? You can't find the 'new' button? It's under file/new/document. Where you go from there is up to you. 'You' have to decide on grid layout, margins, etc. If you can't come up with an idea in your head and apply that to a programme then I'm afraid you're going to find the graphic design...

    Stock photography

The trick with stock photos is not picking the obvious choice every time and using 'as is'. A little cropping/adaptation can turn a stock photo from something obvious into something stunning. And I remember the days where a stock photo would cost £100+, these days there are so many options out...

    Magazine printers, central Scotland preferred.

My local printer of choice for magazine work has just recently gone down the pan. Before I send out emails to the hundreds of printers around in my area just wondering if anyone here had any recommendations. I know a few printers hang out here too. Doesn't necessarily have to be local (though it...

New logo design for a window cleaner

I thought 'pun' names were reserved for hairdressers. Obviously not. Why does a window cleaner need to be 'fun'? When did fun become a viable business model outside of children's parties and summer holidays? He's a bloody window cleaner, not a stand up comedian. Surely 'clean' would be a better...

Print Me It and Genie Design & Print

Loanhead eh? I know this is an old thread, but I'm currently out in Bilston, just round the corner. Are you still in Loanhead? Sorry for the thread hijack. :icon_blushing:

    Matchbox Print Help

I'd print the coaster onto paper then spray mount it to some thick card, or do what dlb suggests and just stick it to a coaster as long as you can't see the original design through your print. For the matchbox it should be easy enough to work out dimensions for making your own. If need be buy...

    Latest Design Project

Sorry, a bit late to the party here, but those look bloody lovely. Nice job. :icon_clapping: Great photography too. I feel your pain as well, having recently handmade about 150 wedding invites for a friend. The design seemed like a good idea at the time, and they do look brilliant, but after...

    Fun with Photoshop!

Damn, where's the edit post button? I also wanted to say the text at the very bottom (actors, director etc.) could do with some work. You've got 4 lines of text yet your last line is only 3 words long. Don't rely on your box shape/paragraph style to come up with something aesthetically...

    Fun with Photoshop!

I don't mind the black (it is a horror poster after all), but the sub line "Experience evil for yourself" either has to be bigger or the kerning adjusted so that it fits under the "Enigma". Everything else is centered and you're creating negative space to the right of that sub line and it just...

    Printers in Scotland

Depends what you need printed really. I have a couple of magazines that I get done at Scottish County Press and I'm more than happy with the quality and price. They aren't really set up for doing much else than magazines, newspapers or brochures though. Business cards, letterheads etc aren't...
