I just found that after having spent ages learning AS2, AS3 was completely different and I really struggled to get my head around it and I couldn't really see (apart from speed) what the benefits are, perhaps i need to give it more of a chance?
Most designers just write have their names at the top of there websites, and the ones that don't just do some strange composition of their initials. booooooring.

ye you're right, this is what I was saying about it's poor integration with html, but as with everything there is ways around it but it's just irritating and difficult.
does anyone else feel like they were expecting something much more impressive from AS3?

The problem with flash is is poor integration with HTML, however I don't think that we will see a complete disappearance of flash, there are still lots of animators that use flash, game designers, and app designers.
Lazy design really annoys me, I could understand it more if it was for a small company for a low amount of money but seriously? someone has been paid a huge amount to do this, no design process has gone into this it's just straight to the computer on this one.
It's ridiculous, and it's certainly not going to help the design industry, however, i think that large companies with the ability to afford a one to one service where they can really get involved with the design process are not going to use a website like 99designs, there are lots of these...
Thanks for the feed back, I think you're right it will only work once I have already proven myself as a professional graphic designer that doesn't conform. also I can see what you mean by the "ge" bit and the font is Opificio.
I have designed this logo for my website, and at the time it seemed funny to me and I understand that Humour can be a dangerous tool to use in graphic design. Just wondering what your opinion on this is?
