    SHOWCASE: Sketches, Doodles & Illustrations

A few more doodles for this guy. No idea if I'm going to actually do anything with the character or not. Maybe use him to fuel some social media posts?

Help! Have I made a huge mistake?!

There's nothing wrong with using reference for certain things, but directly tracing stuff you find on Google, yeah don't do that.

    SHOWCASE: Sketches, Doodles & Illustrations

Nope, I just made a lot of decisions at the inking stage. Benefit of a personal project, no clean pencils needed for client approval :ROFLMAO:

    SHOWCASE: Sketches, Doodles & Illustrations

Thanks Wardy. Yeah I still stick with Photoshop 99% of the time, never got comfortable using things like Procreate on an iPad. I'm sure this could work well in Illustrator as well if it was for something commercial.

    SHOWCASE: Sketches, Doodles & Illustrations

*thread resurrection spell* Hi guys, thought I'd share a bit of fun I had recently drawing this dwarf. The original version was much more detailed, but the anatomy was way off and the more I tried to work into it the worse it got. So I scrapped it and focused on simplifying things dramatically...

    website design

I'd suggest one thing. This blue text is less easy to read on top of the photo than if it was all white, like the others. Perhaps with a very subtle shadow to boost contrast.

Can anyone identify this font? Thanks!

Not an exact match, but the closest I can find is Sydney Serial.

    Portfolio Feedback

Hi George, I can't offer any specific feedback on your work as my background is more illustration than graphic design, but I have some general points. I'd consider splitting your portfolio in two. One for graphic design and one for VR games. Simplify everything. People simply won't read all...

Painting my illustration in such colors

I'm going to take a punt here and assume you're asking how to implement these colours into your own work. If you're working digitally, it's easy to create multiple thumbnails and alter the colour palette for each until you find something you like. If you're working traditionally, you could do...

    Best Drawing Tablet around £500

Late to the party but I can definitely recommend a Wacom Cintiq 16 (not pro), I use one myself when working at home and it's spot on.

The method for matching a photo to a color palette - how to do it?

A bit late to the party but an adjustment layer in photoshop could definitely do this with very little effort. Either fill with one colour and set to "colour" mode, or use a gradient map if it needs to cover multiple hues.

    Photoshop Beta - Firefly

Photoshop's AI tool is great for tweaking an image you have, or have made, but in terms of generating something from nothing... your job's safe from this particular AI overlord.

    Logo Comparison Advice

I prefer the first one and I think it'll be easier to read at small sizes compared to the ones with thinner lines.
