    Content Management System - Vote

I tend to use Perch (grabaperch.com). You can build the site the way you want to and then add on the CMS. Really quick for simple sites…which is usually all my clients require. But you can use it to build larger sites too. Everything is modular so if you don't need a blog or a gallery you...

    Helpful logo feedback please

I prefer number 3 as well, it seems to be balanced better. I do agree that you could remove the curved caps though.

Sadly I never made it along. Nice pic though!

    Removing content through css pseudo-classes?

Could you not just apply a negatvie left margin to the span? Surely the <b> or <i> would work if they were only stylistic and not for emphasis.

    Calling Glasgow-based designers

Hi Lee, I might be interested. I've been working for myself for over 3 years now, and I don't get a Xmas night out! Although last December I was in London with my girlfriend and her mate as they were going to a gig, so I went and had my "xmas night out" on my own at the cinema in the o2 dome...

Freelancers - Good tax Saving Tip!

Good tip Craig. I just use a notebook which I keep in the car, and note down; date, mileage, town/address and clients name if applicable. Started doing it 3 years ago, and am now in the habit. Defnitely worth doing!

Thanks Darren, at least I know that is the case. I won't be moving hosts and changing certificates again any time soon!

    The New GAP Logo

All I have to say on the matter: "Oooft".

Don't worry I noticed the missing "s". I've tried the code in Option 1 and Option 2 with no luck. I'm wondering whether the SSL certificate is sent to the browser before the .htaccess, because no matter what I try, only the HTTP will rewrite not the HTTPS, and I'm getting "Untrusted Connection"...

Ah I see, I thought I saw kites down the beach recently...that explains it. I'm round the far end of the bay by the castle, so I look out my office window right across to the town centre end of the beach. Lived here all my life, with the exception of 3 years in Glasgow and 1 in London...

No I need it to redirect https://domain.com to https://www.domain.com It has it's moments! First sign of a sunny day and the beach is packed. Was there something on or were you just passing through? Can't say I have been to Cactus Jacks, never really appealed to me.

Cheers Greg, but that doesn't work either. :( Oh and I just got this reply from the hosting company: I'll have a read...
