Text size for social media graphics

Thanks for the advice. I'm using Roboto for the body copy, no option to use anything else as that is the font that aligns with the branding. Not sure if I can upload an example here as the images are bigger than 1mb. I've worked out size 20 pt equates to 26.6px.

Text size for social media graphics

I'm currently assisting my local Toastmasters Club by creating a series of graphics for social media, namely Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. They usually consist of an interesting photo and some text. Each one is sized 1200 x 680 px, which seems to work well. I've had feedback that some of the...

    Flateyri Fins Logo

Hello, I am looking for some feedback on a ficitious logo I've design for Flateyri Fins. Flateyri is a small village in the North West of Iceland, that I had the great pleasure of visiting in 2007 as part of a volunteering program. Here is the brief: Flateyri Fins aims to provide tourists and...

    Layout advice

Hello I'm working on a type specimen sheet as part of a course I'm doing, and the instructions say it has to be 8.5 x 11 inches, double magazine spread. Does this mean its 8.5 x 11 per page (so times two), or is 8.5 x 11 the whole magazine? Thanks

    Mentor

Hi, I thought I would give an update. I am an active member of my local Toastmasters Club, and have been assisting them with PR. This means I have been designing social media posters and flyers for various online workshops. Its really good fun! I am constrained by using particular fonts and...

    Record World feedback

Thank you for the feedback. I have modified the top design, and changed the typeface to Cooper Black. I wasn't sure what typeface to use, but I noticed Cooper Black has been used on quite a lot of album covers, including The Doors and The Beach Boys (both from California). I borrowed the colours...

    Record World feedback

Hello, I am in the process of re-designing my logo ideas for Record World (a fictional company). I would like some feedback prior to starting, and perhaps a few ideas. Here is the brief: "Record World is one of the last big record stores in LA. We are famous for our variety of music and we are...

    Logo feedback and advice

Thanks again for the suggestions, I didn't think of combing the tea pot with the first design. I think I am going to stick to the original typeface as I feel it has character, and the monogram with the letters J and T work really well. Also, I agree the drop shadow isn't that great, its probably...

    Mentor

Thanks for the responses and advice. I have a full time job as a Civil Servant, which pays my mortgage and bills, so I can't really quit and do a full time degree. My workplace is relocating in a couple of years though, so I do need to have a plan of action, and hence wanting to learn a new...

Hello I am looking for someone who can mentor me in graphic design, specifically logo design. I've emailed a few designers but had no responses. I'm new to the industry and have been teaching myself online with varying degrees of success. I struggle to come up with effective logo ideas and...

    Logo feedback and advice

Hello again I've taken into consideration the feedback that was provided above and redesigned the logo. This time I looked up some vintage tea brands such as Lipton, Tetleys and Lyons, using some of their old advertisements as inspiration. The 3D text was a bit of a nightmare! I feel the logo...

    Logo feedback and advice

I hadn't really thought of using just the name, like a wordmark. It has to work at very large scales (a 5 ft sign) and extremely small ones - a tea bag doesn't allow for much room. Perhaps I can see if a script typeface for Jina's will work along with a simpler typeface for Tea House. Regarding...

    Logo feedback and advice

Hello I am new here and learning logo design. I would like some feedback on my logo designs for Jina's Teahouse. Jina's Teahouse serves tea and other light refreshments. Their target demographic and primary customers are elderly people. They are looking for a vintage style logo that can be...
