I don't want to do that - I can't afford a lawyer, and I don't actually want to cost them huge amounts of money (they are likely not making much and are a not for profit), as I share their values. I think the particular person running it is dishonest - he's done a similar thing before by...
Could be a lot of work to do this manually. Why do they need it in vector format? If they wanted this look exactly, may have to stay as psd unless their prepared for a simplified version of it?
Okay - there was no sample text on the graphic I downloaded (blue sky with grass). This is a blatant rip-off: The organiser of the festival actually attended our festival, so has seen the artwork. I didn't really expect to be debating about whether it was a rip off or not - even they've admitted...
I could do with some 'what would you do' advice, here.
I designed the following poster for Maidstone Vegan Festival last year and we've since reused the design again this year (I'm also one of the organisers of the festival). It's no masterpiece, but is just what the team wanted and seems to...
Yes, having used dropbox in the past, I'm not a fan. We also had a tailor made system designed for us in the past (without involving the people who were going to be using it until it was too late in the day to influence development). It was primitive and clunky. www.box.com looks pretty...
Thanks Paul - that looks really good! I have passed on your recommendation. box.com would probably be best for us, as this is for an international set up with multiple users and provides previews of files without having to download them.
This whole experience with unitedprint has burnt my fingers somewhat....honestly, I have used them for years with no such trouble at all. I have another similar project and am not about to prepare that for print in the same way. I literally took each spread, rasterised it in illustrator and...
I've been asked by my client if there is an ideal asset management system that would work for them. It would be for storing/up- and downloading shareable assets such as photography, ads, point of sale etc.
It would need to be secure, multi-user and importantly, something from which you can see...
I don't have full sketchbooks, but have lots of random sketches, that I'm always prepared to sell. I don't have a portfolio site, but have an art page on Facebook (which I treat like a bit of a creative diary). Here's my page - https://www.facebook.com/RebeccaLehmannArt
Stationery Direct - yes, I realise this: but the quality and value of their output has been excellent to date, and I've never had this issue before.
four - That is very kind of you to offer. I'm wondering how I can see this myself in the file? - they told me on the phone that they use...
This didn't work :(
This is beyond frustrating: because it's a 'cheap' online printers, it's staff don't know how to help me. I may resort to copying each page into illustrator, rasterising it, then copying it back in to InDesign. This seems absolutely crazy!
Hi again, so I've been looking for the pdf settings suggested by hankscorpio - they don't seem to exist already in my settings and I'm having trouble finding a downloadable version online - do you have any more advice, please?!
Thank you all - yes, it's all been rather confusing - I think hankscorpio may be on the money from what the guy on the phone said. I will do as suggested and see if that remedies the situation. I'll let you know!
