Was looking through a job site that has ads for all sorts of design related jobs, placements, offers etc.. and came across this one. Couldn't believe what I was reading. I thought there might be some typo's, some 0's missing here and there, but no.

Wow! There's cheap then there's this! How bad must the final design be if you pay £5 for a logo with unlimited revisions?

Indian company by any chance? Or a group of kids?

An agency in Manchester actually. They obviously spend a maximum of 5 minutes on each logo. :icon_Wall:
It's amazing they make any money.

I wonder, by any chance, if they actually just go download one of the many logos on shutterstock or istock, that would be even less work and most people wouldn't even realise that's what they've got.

If that's the case, then the 24 hours they aim to have the logo delivered by is pathetic :icon_tongue_smilie:

Well, you know, they might have to change the colours, so they'd have to open illustrator, and then save it, and then write and send the email soooooo...... :icon_tongue_smilie:

Ah yes you're right. They must go for breakfast, lunch and dinner in between. I bet they fit in a game of ker-plunk too. :icon_biggrin:

The problem is that people actually use these 'designers' once before realising that this isn't they way to go. By that time at £5 a logo they have used that as a benchmark, so when we quote them £xxx they tell us they aren't interested.

Ok this is a design thing but the same applies to Printers there are some out there you look at the web site and they can do a job for the same price as some of us can only buy the paper before we even start printing and they offer 24hour turn round, then you read the complaints crap paper, set off, smudging the list goes on and because you have paid on line the chances of a refund are pretty much nil, so as the old saying goes you pay for what you get which is probably rubbish so don't be put off by what they are charging, that's my rant for the day.
cheers

Almost worth spending a fiver and seeing what we get! Love to turn the tables and say 'hmmm...i like THAT bit, but not that and could you show me some colour options? I'll know what I want when I see it.'

How tempting is that?

Already done. I've inquired about a new logo for my cupcake company. :icon_cheers:
