Help settle a fun, Friday quarrel

Hey everyone. Just having a light-hearted "quarrel" with a small printer I do design for from time to time when he has overflow work. The scenario is the client, who is a happy, friendly guy has taken a career break to be a dog walker and groomer for 6months; not a business as such just an extension of his hobby for pocket money. As per, he doesn't understand the concept of paying for design and wants a cheapy hour service for business cards which he insists on terming "calling cards". I have made up one quick design, and because it is Friday and my printer mate is goofing about he has also made up a design which he thinks is the dog's danglies (excuse the pun) and suitable for an hour's design / the client's budget.

I'm not saying which I have done so it's a simple 1 or 2 vote please. The only thing to bear in mind is the font and text placement cannot change (client's choice :icon_rolleyes:). Design one took 15minutes, Design 2, half an hour.

Thanking you ... the beers are on him if I win :icon_biggrin:

Out of the 2 I'd pick the second.

If it were me designing it I'd probably be a dick and show the client the brainstrom of ideas I'd spent an hour on :)

Cheers fellas, seeing as it is now 5.30, close of business and I have won I shall now demand my beer.

Thanking you :icon_biggrin:

* to Scott (printer dude), this contest is now shut, you lost and any votes after this time do not count, hoorah*

If it were me working directly for him I would have given him a choice of 2 / 3 designs but when he is only paying £25 for it it is kinda "like it or lump it territory" :icon_cheers:

Nooo, mine took 30mins so that's 'only' £50 an hour lol. It's basic practice though isn't it? Estimate the time, do it in less...happy days.

But considering I drew him a pooch when he wasn't expecting it he should be happy enough.
