Hello everyone. I recently updated my notebook's OS from Windows 10 to Windows 11 but after updating it, Adobe Photoshop keeps crashing randomly. I am not able to work on it properly. Can anyone tell me what could be the issue behind it? Kindly help me to solve this issue.

Try a few things

Try resetting your preferences:

Hold down the following keyboard shortcut and launch Photoshop:

macOS: command + option + shift

Windows: ctrl + alt + shift

Open Photoshop.

Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

---------------

Try the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

That's what I was thinking as well.

When I perform these steps, Photoshop Properties opens and I couldn't find anything you refer to. By any chance, were you referring to solution number five from here? Should I try it once?
What Hank suggested is likely similar/same as that albeit done in a different way, doing everything on that list won't hurt but in all honesty I suspect it's more down to the update to windows 11 than anything else.

I'd be guessing it's likely the registry has been corrupted or is just 'dirty' from when the OS updated. Only real fix you'll have is to do a clean install rather than an update, something I'd recommend in general anyway when it's between windows versions.... so backup everything you want to keep (you're doing that anyway right :p) and then do a clean install which removes all the programs etc and then reinstall everything from scratch.

Having said that, even if I ignore the fact I hate the windows 11 UI changes and the fact it's core is still windows 10, I would not be using windows 11 in a business environment, it's just not ready for that imo.

I agree with suggestion to do a fresh installation of both OS and Photoshop. However, there also may be a driver issue, either it's wrong update or your hardware doesn't have optimal drivers for win 11. This is one of the reasons i don't want to update, who can guarantee stability on a "new OS" soon after release?
