Design idea wanted

Hi group. I have a plastic Perspex sheet (6mm thick) with a square hole 170mm X 170mm in the middle of it. I need to create a door of some sort that can be easily opened from the outside but not inside to block this space. The only requirement is the cost has to be below $2. It doesn't need to be airtight. The door must be easy and convenient to open and close. I'd love any ideas you may have..
Thanks

Drill two holes in the top two corners and make string hinges.

At the bottom drill two holes in the cardboard each side of the perspex and tie a piece of elastic between them.

To open the door, pull down the elastic and lift the perspex.

Probable cost: zero (if you can find a string and elastic at home)

And assuming this is a 'school project' (it really does sound like one and I wish people would just say it is rather than trying to avoid this fact) it's not actually about being creative, it's about reading the question and then solving a problem in the simplest way... in other words it's about showing you not to overthink a problem.

If you take what you've written literally (and I assume I've understood it correctly and you've not missed bits off - full brief would be better than how you interpret it) the answer is a hinge + handle to open/shut. It doesn't say anything about needing to stay open or that you can't hold it open, it doesn't say anything about you needing to be inside the box when it's opened either. So the 'simplest' solution is being on the outside of the box and 'opening' a hinged flap, total cost in the UK, about £1....

Thanks for the tips Levi, my 1st time posting a query. Appreciate the advice, "not to overthink the problem.. ". Will certainly keep this in mind going forward(y)
