As I only specialise in brand and print design how difficult would it be to fit an internal message system on a contact page of a website so that the client can fill in the spaces and click send etc?

It isn't that hard. Just Google some PHP contact forms.

Are you using a CMS for your / your clients site Chris? If so their may be a plugin you could use, otherwise I agree with Corrosive above.

Depends on what your website is running on - CMS's like Wordpress etc have contact form plugins
