    Web browsers

    Hello, I am a graphics designer when you design a website and you upload it to the internet and see it on internet explorer or firefox the layout at times is different,

    can you design a good website that can cater for all good browsers eg firefox and internet explorer

    Yes but it's not the graphic design that determines this, it's the coding...

    Generally if you design/code in html and css you will not have problems (in my experience anyhow)
    The answer is KISS - keep it simple, stupid or less is more.

    It's not just IE vs FF, you will get different effects with different versions of browsers. I'm afraid that there isn't an easy answer, you need to check your design on several browsers.:icon_cursing:

    And don't forget different Operating Systems as well (just to pile on the misery)

    Also keep in mind your website's audience and their browsers and its different versions they might be using alongside their screen resolutions.

    IE6 often presents more problems than it is worth.

    I tend to use Adobe Browser Labs : https://browserlab.adobe.com/en-us/index.html - it's great for seeing what your site looks like on all the major browsers - you then use conditional comments to tweak/fix/hack the css to ensure it works on all browsers.
