I tend to use Adobe Browser Labs : https://browserlab.adobe.com/en-us/index.html - it's great for seeing what your site looks like on all the major browsers - you then use conditional comments to tweak/fix/hack the css to ensure it works on all browsers.

Also try MultiBrowserViewer for windows. It takes some resources but works beautifully.

What OS are you using? Is it snow leopard or Lion. I am using Lion and have used chrome with snow leopard works really fast.

I'm using Leopard...not Snow Leopard or Lion. Can't get it work for beans. It just doesn't fancy it.

It's built with the same rendering engine as Safari anyway.

In fact Chrome for Mac took ages to come out because that isn't the point of Chrome. Chrome was released as an IE killer and not to rival Safari, Firefox etc. I'm not surprised it is a bit ropey on a Mac.
