Completely agree with the above 2 posts,
I started as a freelancer about 2 years ago and in the begining have been burned time and time again, by not taking deposits. If you have a reputation and a nice client portfolio, there is no reason new clients should have a problem with putting down the deposit, I always encourage new customers to contact the old ones. |

I would ask for a 50% deposit and invoice on completion (30 days credit).
It would concern me that a new client does not wish to commit any resources up front, but is keen for my company to commit all of ours. My advice - find a supplier with a track record, agree a budget and work with them. You do have the support of law (assuming you are UK based). Peter
