I run a retailed garment shop and can afford little money for advertisement. I’ve been told that hiring a website designer is a costly affair.

Can anyone tell me some simple steps to build my own website from development to publishing on the web without programming?

Personally I would go with a wordpress website...

...it is a fantastic way to get online as it has loads of plugins and off the shelf themes, it can also be skinned to your branding relatively cheaply and allows you to manage the content on the site yourself from the easy to use admin panel.
