Best format for newsletters?

Evening all

Just had a job come through and client requires a monthly e-newsletter for their company.

html or pdf? Does anyone have an opinion on what is the best format?

Obviously both have their benefits, but was after a 2nd opinion

This is one of those pain in the neck jobs... but to be honest to secure regular income even if it is small!

I "personally" have never had to do PDF newsletters, but I have experienced the pain of HTML newsletters.
HTML newsletters are a mystery :) and using a stable third party application to handle them will save the day.

What is your client intending to use to send out newsletter? Goldmine or the like?
