What do you think of these two website designs from an aesthetic viewpoint?
Here are the links to the physical web pages (please note that most of the links don't work at the moment, as I'm still in the design stage)
Cardiff Buddhist Centre - Home Page
Cardiff Buddist Centre - Home Page
I prefer the first one, featuring the rounded corners etc.
Though you should maybe consider information architecture. Do you need to so many top navigation links? Could you achieve a better design & user experience by having a few top level links horizontal under your header (6 for your design) and a secondary sidebar navigation for sub pages etc?
Just a couple of thoughts :)
design-is.co.uk - freelance projects
dougbarned.co.uk - personal site & blog - twitter
feralinteractive.com - designer day job - twitter - facebook
both are bad but I think you should work on improving the first one. Try to get things aligned properly and increase gutters.
