Default Validating Flash

Hi

How important is it that your site validates?

I can validate my site except for the flash movies that I have on it. I have come across the Satay method and some other ideas. I can make it work in FireFox et al but not IE, dut to the fact that IE cannot stream it.

I have also seen a preloader method but all these methods are no match for just using <embed>.

So what do you all think? Can i say that i produce validated sites with this flaw?

Thanks

I have recently built a page that has a flash movie and validates to xhtml 1 strict (soul destroying process, but I got there!)

What's the full code you are using to embed the movie? Maybe I can help

Hi Helen

Thanks for the reply. I've managed solve the problem by using <swfobject>, validates and works in all browsers.
