Wordpress - auto resize and crop images

Hey guys,

I've just created a WordPress website for a charity who want to make use of the CMS functions.

Being new to WP and with the clients limited computer skills I wondered if there is a way to automate resize and crop images in the posts so that they don't have to do the work?

It's a first when I get to pose a question and come back with a solution all in one thread. But maybe, just maybe, it may be the case this time (well actually I have to thank a fellow designer for pointing this out).

If anybody has setup a WordPress website for a client to update and wants an easy way for them to edit images then you could try the free online service at Picnik. Good for cropping, rotating, adjusting size, brightness/contrast, etc.

Hi Glen,

You're right, there are loads of plugins out there. The challenge with my current CMS client is that they don't have a great deal of technical knowledge, so Picnik seems like it should be fairly easy for them to get to grips with.

It would be good to see what other peeps are using out there...
